Learning to Drive Manual - 4 Months In

Great news - I'm improving! Relieved. Really relieved. There was a time in there where I didn't think I was ever going to get it, but I am! I'm starting to get it. 

What's tough about it?

THE CLUTCH!! Haha I cannot stop talking about how difficult that darn clutch is. It's involved in everything you do. From driving off, parking, stopping, and changing gears. By the way, for those of you who drive an automatic car, have you ever noticed how many times your gear changes? A lot. The answer is a lot. 

I've come to really enjoy driving on long road where you can kind of cruise on the same speed for a long time. Inner city driving is a real pain. Gear changes galore. Take a look the next time you're driving. 

I was watching Hustle the other day on Netflix. (Good film. I'd recommend it- NEVER BACK DOWN!) Stan, played by Adam Sandler, is always drinking a coffee when he's driving and all I think was, "You wouldn't be able to do that in a manual!" It's true though! Your hands are way too busy changing gears and steering. 

Anyhoo- hoping to book my test soon. *crossing fingers*
